Group classes

What is so unique about my Group Music classes?

  • Classical music. My whole program is based on classical music. Many compositions that your children learn in my classes are taken from my concert-lectures on Great Composers.
  • American folk songs. I do not worry too much about teaching children contemporary music – kids hear it every day, everywhere. American folk songs which I use in my program are important: they give your kids the taste of their own culture.
  • Playing in the ensemble. In my classes, children play the piano and many percussion instruments in the ensemble. Such activities are beneficial for kids: they hear and see how the music is made.
  • Progress in music education. For some parents, “having fun” is the only requirement for their kids’ extracurricular activities. Having fun is essential, of course, but it is not enough. Your children should make good noticeable progress in their music education.
  • 500 activities. My music programs for young children encompass more than 500 activities, which cover many fundamentals of music.
  • All children are carefully matched according to their age. There are groups for ages 2-3, 3-4, and 5-6.
  • Programs are continuous. Musical concepts are taught using a step by step approach. Your child will get the maximum benefits if he/she is enrolled in my music course starting from age 2 through age 6 or 7.
  • Teaching experience. Some music methods for teaching young children have such minimal requirements for their teachers as the ability to carry a tune and clap out the rhythm. No prior music education is needed. My experience is different: 12 years of extensive training in piano and more than 30 years of teaching experience.

Words from our happy
parents and students

As always, I am thankful for all you do for the children—a treasure for life. I feel truly blessed to have met you… Ilana cried yesterday after we missed your Wednesday lesson:  “Mommy I want to go to Miss Elena!”
